My Pick: Revolabs Solo Executive Wireless Microphone System
What I Like About It: The Revolabs Solo wireless microphone offers excellent vocal intelligibility, eight hours of talk time, and considerably more freedom of movement than conventional wireless microphones, because there is no body-pack transmitter. The system provides 128-bit encryption for secure conversations, and there is single-touch mute capability to ensure privacy. The Solo also gives maximum range notification alerts, which reminds people if they step out of range or to return the microphone at the meeting's conclusion. Further, the system's range is controllable, which can be very useful to avoid interfering with equipment in adjacent rooms.
I Would Change:The system is restricted to 16 simultaneous, wearable mics. This limits the ability to expand with larger groups, though additional tabletop mics can be substituted for the wearable units.
Where I Used It: We used this product at the Sprint Executive Briefing Center in Atlanta. This is a corporate presentation space where company officials brief others on new programs, products, and services. The space has facilities for audio and video.
My Results: For the Sprint Executive Briefing Center, we liked the idea of wireless microphone systems.
