Radiesse Injection

Radiesse™ is an injectable dermal filler most commonly used to improve the volume and appearance of the nose, cheeks, chin, jaw line, hands, smile lines and marionette lines. Comprised of calcium-based (calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA) microspheres in a water-based gel, Radiesse™ provides immediate results similar to other dermal fillers , but the results from Radiesse™ then diverge from other fillers in that they continue to improve over time as the unique ingredients in this filler encourage your body to produce collagen.

Radiesse™ injections are generally performed in a doctor’s office using local anesthesia and take less than 15 minutes to complete. There may be more than one injection site, depending on which area of the body is being treated and the desired results, and some discomfort during the injection is normal. After the treatment, there may be some swelling over the next two to three day, as well as a small amount of bruising or discomfort, but patients can return to normal activities immediately after their Radiesse™ treatment session.

Radiesse™ has a variety of uses as a dermal filler , including facial contouring, encouraging a more youthful appearance for the backs of the hands, vocal fold insufficiency, non-surgical rhinoplasty and returning facial volume to people who have experienced facial lipoatrophy.

Noticeable results will be apparent immediately after receiving your treatment and will continue to improve in the following weeks and months as collagen production is stimulated in the areas around the injection sites. Results typically last for about one year before maintenance injections are required, but can also last upwards of two years, depending on individual results.

Naturally, the cost of a Radiesse™ treatment session will vary depending on the number of injections required, your doctor’s individual fees and where you live. The average cost per syringe of Radiesse ranges from $650 to $800.
