When a woman gets older, her body starts showing signs of wear, which actually only makes sense! After all, women are the ones who give birth to babies. There are two main kinds of varicose vein treatment. The first kind, which is for smaller veins, is sclerotherapy. In this procedure, medicine gets injected into the veins in order to free up the blood that has pooled there (which caused the vein to look the way it does in the place), and thus collapse the vein.
In the second kind of varicose vein treatment, which is for larger, more problematic veins, is laser therapy. This procedure involves laser light being specifically targeted at each vein, in turn stimulating the growth of new tissue and making the vein subside. Both procedures are performed in an outpatient area, such as the dermatologist's office, and the recovery time is minimal.
